Today is as good a day as any

Hi Everybody. Today is as good a day as any to start blogging about the Western Colorado Botanical Gardens. I’m not sure exactly where to start. There is the butterfly house complete with puparium and koi pond not to mention beautiful flowering plants that provide nectar for the butterflies. There is a rainforest greenhouse that also has koi, a cute tree frog, amazing orchids and a lot of crazy plants. Around back is the gorgeous cactus garden built and maintained by the Chinle Cactus and Succulent Club. There are gardens that surround the greenhouses with xeric plants, herbs, and roses. There is the Children’s Secret Garden as well as the amphitheater and the new Celebration Plaza.

As Operations Manager I look after the outdoor and greenhouse gardens including the mechanical aspects like the irrigation systems and the heating systems for the greenhouse. I look forward to sharing my adventures in the Gardens with you.
